The Nori Stretch Film Vacuum Packaging Machine is a fully automatic inline vacuum packaging system built for seaweed processing. It handles compressed nori, nori sheets and rice-ball wrap products, and combines thermoforming, vacuum sealing and automatic cutting into a single continuous flow, so seaweed products can be packed at scale in a standardised format.
Food-grade stretch film in roll form is the packaging substrate. Bottom film is heated evenly and softened, then vacuum-drawn into a custom die to form shallow cavities that match the size of the product. The product is loaded into these cavities manually or by a matched feeding mechanism, and the machine indexes to the next station. After the top film is applied, the vacuum chamber quickly removes all air from the cavity and heat-seals the pack in an oxygen-free environment, which keeps the nori from oxidising, regaining moisture or losing flavour.
The continuous film is then separated into individual finished packs by the cross-cut and longitudinal cutting system, while trim waste is recovered automatically.
- Thermoforming, filling, vacuum sealing and cutting handled in one continuous line
- Oxygen-free sealing that preserves crispness and extends shelf life
- Roll-fed food-grade stretch film as the packaging material
- Automatic recovery of trim waste to reduce film loss
- Suited to compressed nori, nori sheets and rice-ball wrap products
