The wide vermicelli (broad noodle) stretch film vacuum packaging machine is a fully automatic thermoforming vacuum packaging machine designed specifically for wide vermicelli (long strip-shaped starch products such as vermicelli and glass noodles). It belongs to the stretch film vacuum packaging machine (also called thermoforming vacuum packaging machine) family and realizes efficient vacuum packaging of wide vermicelli through a fully automatic process: lower film heating and stretch forming -> product filling -> upper film covering -> vacuuming / gas flushing -> heat sealing -> cutting and separation.
Its core difference from ordinary pre-made bag vacuum packaging machines is that it uses no pre-made bags and directly forms the package from roll film on site, which is especially suitable for the large-scale packaging of long, fragile and sticky products such as wide vermicelli.
2. Working principle and process
Step 1 - Lower film heating: the roll lower film is softened by a heating device; precise temperature control (about 80-120 Deg C) avoids high temperature damaging the texture of the vermicelli.
Step 2 - Stretch forming: the softened lower film is vacuum-formed into cavities in the mould; the mould is designed for the length of the vermicelli (common 320/420/520 mm specifications), and the cavity depth prevents crushing and breakage.
Step 3 - Product filling: wide vermicelli is placed into the formed film cavities manually or by a manipulator; a dedicated mould can separate and arrange the vermicelli to prevent sticking and keep the shape intact.
Step 4 - Upper film covering: the upper (cover) film covers the lower film; the cover film is usually a high-barrier transparent film, balancing preservation and display.
Step 5 - Vacuuming / gas flushing: air is extracted from the package (or protective gas such as nitrogen is added); the vacuum degree is adjustable (100-200 Pa) to avoid excessive compression breaking the vermicelli.
Step 6 - Heat sealing and cutting: the upper and lower films are heat-sealed, and a cutter separates them into individual packages; the seals are firm and the cuts neat, matching wide vermicelli packaging specifications.
Step 7 - Finished product output: packed wide vermicelli is conveyed automatically and waste film is recycled; continuous operation with a single-machine capacity up to 30-100 packs/min.
1. How does it work?
The working process is like a production line and mainly consists of four packaging steps:
1) Heating and forming: the bottom roll film is heated and softened, then pressed by the mould into cavities, preparing a nest for each product.
2) Automatic filling: products (such as date-walnut rolls, meat pieces, cooked food) are placed into the formed cavities automatically or manually.
3) Vacuum sealing: the upper cover film comes down, the machine extracts the air to create a vacuum, then heat-seals the pack to lock the product inside.
4) Cutting and separation: finally a cutter separates the connected packs into individual small packages, and the finished products are output.
2. What is the wide vermicelli stretch film vacuum packaging machine suitable for?
It is widely used in the food industry, especially for products with a fixed shape that are easily crushed:
- Meat products: ham, sausage, bacon, braised meat.
- Seafood and aquatic products: fish, shrimp, sea cucumber, shellfish.
- Snack foods: dried tofu, spiced eggs, nuts, dried fruit.
- Frozen foods: dumplings, glutinous rice balls, hand-grab pancakes.
