5XZ-5B Positive Pressure Gravity Separator for Maize Seed is core equipment for fine processing of maize seed and other grain. It separates strictly by density, so immature, mouldy, diseased and insect-damaged kernels are taken out and the remaining seed is uniform, with better thousand-kernel weight and germination.

Working principle

Material on the deck is subjected to air flow and vibrating friction at the same time and stratifies by specific gravity. Adjusting air pressure and amplitude makes heavier material sink to the bottom layer and travel upward along the deck, while lighter material floats on the surface and flows downward with the air. The result is separation by density rather than by size.

Applications

Fine processing of seed and agricultural by-products. Works well on cereal seed, coarse grains and pulses, and melon seeds. It removes mouldy and deteriorated kernels, insect-damaged kernels, smut-infected kernels, chaffy grain, germinated grain, kernels with glumes and stones, and after processing thousand-kernel weight, germination rate, purity and uniformity all improve noticeably.
